"Construction has wrapped on the Led Zeppelin roller coaster at Hard Rock Park in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. It's the first completed ride set for the rock 'n' roll theme park, which is scheduled to open spring 2008. "Led Zeppelin -- The Ride" reaches 150 feet and is located in the park's "Rock & Roll Heaven" zone. The six-and-a-half-minute looping ride will hit 65 miles per hour -- and speakers will conveniently be located behind each rider's head, playing Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love." Before getting on the roller coaster, riders will enter a silver airship, similar to the cover of Zeppelin's debut album. There will also be multi-media players showing Zeppelin footage for people waiting in line.
If you can't wait until next spring, you can get a look at the ride during the park's Backstage Tour. "
